Sebastiano Trevisani holds a PhD in Applied Earth Sciences (University of Padova), and since July 2018 is Associate Professor in Applied Geology at the University Iuav of Venice, where his teaching activity is related to the courses of “Geology for natural hazards management” and “Applied Geology”. His main research activities are related to geocomputational approaches for the analysis of geoenvironmental systems, with a special focus on geosphere-anthroposphere interlinked dynamics (such as hydrogeology, natural hazards, geoengineering issues in urbanized contexts, geomorphometry, and sustainability). His expertise is in geostatistics and geomorphometry applied to geoenvironmental analysis. From November 2010 to June 2018, he was a researcher in Applied Geology at the Department of Architecture Construction and Conservation (DACC) of the University Iuav of Venice (Venice, Italy). He has also worked for various research institutes, including (from 2007 to 2010) the Research Institute for the Hydrogeological Protection (IRPI) of Padova (Italy) of the National Council of Research (CNR), and (from 2006 to 2007) the National Institutes of Applied Oceanography and Geophysics of Trieste (Italy) (OGS).

Short Bio

Zbigniew Zwoliński is a geographer, geomorphologist, expert in geoinformation, and Professor in the Institute of Geoecology and Geoinformation at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland). He was Chair of the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG) Working Group on Landform Assessment for Geodiversity in the years 2013-2022. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Landform Analysis, and Chair of the Committee of Geographical Sciences at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Currently, he is developing research on geodiversity in different morphoclimatic zones in terms of geoinformation, especially in terms of geomorphometry. He organized the Geomorphometry 2015 conference in Poznań.
